Student Experience Toolkit

The Student Experience Toolkit offers resources for adults at every level of the education system who seek better school experiences for students.

The Student Experience Toolkit is a suite of resources designed to help policymakers, educators, students, and families take the first steps in acting on the recommendations outlined in our latest major research report, The Opportunity Myth: What Students Can Show Us About How School Is Letting Them Down—and How to Fix It.

Whether you are a parent seeking clearer information about what to expect from your child’s assignments, a teacher looking for support with deepening student engagement, or a system leader asking important questions about entrenched inequity in your schools, there are resources here to support your work.

We developed some of these tools as part of our own research. The rest are shared with permission from other organizations and school systems where we believe valuable (and replicable) work is taking place. We invite you to explore the toolkit, download and share these resources, and keep in touch as you use them.
